A Method for Regularizing Buildings through Combining Skeleton Lines and Minkowski Addition

With the increasing availability of remote sensing images, regularization jagged building outlines extracted from high-resolution images has become a current research hotspot. Based on an existing method proposed earlier by this author for extracting skeleton lines buildings through integrating vector and raster data using as input data, new is here regularizing combining with Minkowski addition algorithm. Since size orientation structuring elements remain constant in traditional morphological method, they can easily lead to large changes area between regularized results original building. In work, are constructed adaptive adjustment orientation. The outstanding ability maintain orthogonal characteristics be better preserved via rotating elements. Finally, angular bisector used dissipate conflicts among redundant vertices outlines. comparison simplification QGIS software, paper could reduce variation while maintaining more significantly.
